I am a 2003 graduate of the MBA for Executives at Purdue  University Calumet,  School of Management, and I am seeking a new job with Berkshire Hathaway in business analysis and investment management. At my present age of 48, I know that time is a friend of the wonderful business and the enemy of the mediocre.

In proper time, I would like to lead the investment management process of a large value-based organization according to the investment principles set by Warren Buffett.  I formed LABITAN PARTNERS, LLC in 2004. It was organized for the purpose of long-term value investing in securities. As its Operating Manager, my objective was to make sensible business decisions and outperform all major indices over the long run.

My advantage is the attitude and philosophy learned from the writings of Ben Graham, Warren Buffett, and Charles Munger.   This key to successful investing is the purchase of shares in high quality businesses that have enduring competitive advantages, when market prices are at a large discount from underlying business values.  Using this approach, I succeeded at managing funds for myself and family members during the recessionary period of 2000, and I have attained a yearly average return of   22.5 percent for the past 5 years on a very small portfolio.  In 2004, I formed Labitan Partners LLC as a private equity group dedicated to practicing this valuation approach. The area of Behavioral Finance that has most facinated me is called "successful practioner framing. I began writing a book that describes this process, and it was initially called "The Four Filters Invention of Warren Buffett and Charles Munger."

As a family physician, I have managed my own business.   I developed skills in subjective and objective analysis as well as assessment and plan formulation.   In addition to these diagnostic skills, I practice human relationship and leadership skills in and out of the work setting.  As a business graduate student, I arranged and edited "The Warren Buffett Business Factors", in order to better understand Warren Buffett and Charles Munger's decision making processes. I use it as a personal guide to my own investment decision making.
